Admissions Policy 26-27 Consultation
In line with the statutory duty of admissions authorities to consult on admissions arrangements every 7 years, please find below the Admissions Policy for Saint Mary's Catholic Primary School for the 2026-2027 academic year.
We invite you to comment on the proposed policy in the consultation period which will run until Thursday 21st November 2024.
Comments submitted will be considered by our Governing Body after the consultation period ends.
If you would like to apply for a place in the Reception class at Saint Mary's in September, you must complete the Local Authority application form available from the Cheshire East website:
https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/schools/admissions/admissions.aspx
Applications must be submitted to the Local Authority by 15th January of the year in which you would like your child to join Reception.
Our Admissions Policy for children applying for a place in Reception for September 2025 is attached below (Admissions Policy 2025 to 2026).
If you wish your application to Saint Mary's to be considered under the religious criteria of ‘baptised Catholic children’, you MUST also complete the Supplementary Information Form (SIF), which is attached below, and return this directly to the school by the closing date of 15th January. Proof of baptism must also be returned directly to the school with the Supplementary Information Form.
If you are considering transferring your child from another school to Saint Mary's, please contact the school in the first instance to discuss your needs. Please telephone 01260 274690 or email: admin@saintmaryscongleton.co.uk. It may not be possible to offer you a place if the class your child would be entering is already full. Please see our Admissions Policy (below) for more information.
