At Saint Mary’s, we believe that children deserve a delicious and nutritious meal at lunchtime. We offer an appetising menu designed especially for children. There’s always a great selection to choose from including a 'Special' running from Monday to Thursday each week, and the menu includes homemade healthy meals, wholesome roast dinners, puddings, biscuits and fresh fruit platters. Special dietary requirements are catered for in the daily menus. However, please contact the school if you have any concerns.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals and therefore do not need to pay for meals. The cost of a school lunch is £2.40 per day for children in Years 3 - 6.
All children choose their meal on a daily basis; the meals are colour coded (as displayed on the menus below). The children are given a coloured wristband to correspond with their choice of meal.
Hot seasonal vegetables are available daily plus unlimited salad, pasta and bread with the meals.
If your child tries something new and they don't like it, we will always provide and alternative.
