Online Lessons and Events during Covid-19 / Coronavirus school closures

White Rose Maths - 5 maths lessons per week Y1-Y8

As schools worldwide close for now in response to COVID-19, you might be wondering how best to help your child or children with their studies at home.

Always happy to help, the White Rose Maths Team has prepared a series of five maths lessons for each year group from Year 1-8. We will be adding five more each week for the next few weeks. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child to complete the activity successfully.

A timetable of all of the wonderful free online lessons for Week 1 of school closures (23.3.20).

This could be used alongside practical learning activities. ‘press 'Ctrl' and right click to be taken directly to the websites. (Some of the resources are only available through social media and will require you to have a Facebook/Instagram profile.)  This resource is great for: Parents working from home- Once the video is set up, children can complete the activities without support. You could train children to use the timetable independently over time.  Parents with more than one child- Many of the activities are suitable for a variety of age ranges. Older siblings could even ‘Be The Teacher’ and support younger siblings.  Teachers - For teachers now providing provision for children of differing ages  Benefits: - Many of the activities are repeated daily so this timetable could be edited to suit the age and interests of your child. E.g. If they really love the Home Safari, they could complete this activity every day at this time! - Many of the videos/lessons provide free resources to accompany them. - Much of the live content is available afterwards if you are not available to complete them at the date and time they are streamed.
